Please Include the Following

1.  ONE LINE BIO
Please include a one line bio identifying who you are, including the name and URL of  any congregation or organization and affiliated websites you’d like to link to.

2. YOUR PHOTO
Attach a profile image style photo of you (attach in email or link to it).  A square headshot is best, but send what you have.

3 IMAGE/PHOTO RELATED TO POST
If available, please submit a graphic or photo representing the content of your post. A themed photo greatly increases sharing via Facebook and other social networking sites.  Ideal is a photo of Unitarian Universalists in action.

4 THE POST
Share text of your article or blog post.  It can be in body of email or attached as Word doc.  Make sure submission is ready to publish as is and does not have spelling errors.

Need ideas on writing a blog post?  Try this format…

PARAGRAPH 1
What did you do?  Give and overview everything that happened in three to four sentences.

PARAGRAPH 2
Hit us with some emotion.  Tell us why you did this.  What the response was.  Something to make readers feel and care.

PARAGRAPH 3
Give us an awesome quote, a sound bite that really encompasses your message, the point of the action.  If you could be on CNN for 5 seconds, what would you say?

PARAGRAPH 4
Give us a little how to.  Too often we aren’t clear about how to move forward. Give people specific ideas for taking their own action. If you want to be available to answer questions, give people an invitation to contact you and include info you want published. Not required, just an option.

5 LINKS/ATTACHMENTS
If you have a resource or file to share, make sure to share the link with me or send the attachment. Sent attachments will be uploaded to the site and linked to from within post.

Cross Posting
Have you’re own blog or website? It is fine to submit posts to be cross posted. This can be a great way to get exposure for a newer site.  If your post is already written and on your site, email me the URL and let me know you’re interested in cross posting.  On the guest post we can include a “Cross posted” notice with a link to your original blog post.
